Possible Side Effects of Tadalafil

There are some side effects that can be experienced with tadalafil. Talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist if you are concerned about these side effects. Do not take a higher dose of tadalafil than your doctor orders.

   You may have a headache, facial flushing, a stuffy or runny nose, and an upset stomach.
   Some patients experience back pain or muscle aches that typically occur 12 to 24 hours after taking tadalafil. This usually resolves itself after 48 hours. If you have persistent pain, contact your health care team.
   Less common side effects include blurred vision, a bluish cast to the field of vision, trouble telling the difference between blue and green colors, sensitivity to light, or a sudden loss of vision or hearing.

If you experience any of the following symptoms while using tadalafil, seek immediate medical attention:

   An erection that lasts more than 4 hours.
   Pain in the chest, arms, or neck, or nausea during sexual activity.
   Sudden loss of vision or hearing.
   You develop an allergic reaction (rash, hives, swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat, trouble breathing).
